Blade trudged though the deep snow. His toes had almost gone numb in the cold, and the night air was closing around him. He stopped briefly to survey his surroundings in the hopes of getting his bearings, but the blizzard like conditions were still too bad to see far though the falling snow, and the wind whipped around him too unpredictably to follow any kind of sent trail. He sighed and continued on. He was sure he had seen mountains in this direction, and maybe there he would find shelter. A cave, or perhaps simply some trees, anything but the open terrain he was currently in. He shivered, shifting part of the blanket of snow that had turned his yellow coat white. What was he doing in a place like this? He belonged to a place far away from here, a much warmer place, a place that seemed like a world away now. He had no right to be in a place like this, with so much snow, and certainly without his winter coat. He simply wasn’t designed for these conditions! He let the anger simmer gently in the back of his mind, his only source of warmth in this place. It didn’t matter now anyway, the events leading up to this, his quest, his friends… nothing. The only thing that mattered was finding somewhere warm enough that he didn’t die in this frozen hell. A dark shape loomed out of the white out and Blade’s spirits lifted slightly, was this the face of the side of the mountain? If so shelter might not be far off… ((Rules/guidelines: Maximum of three characters, per player, at a time. Minimum reply length of 3 lines. Fantasy and magical characters encouraged. Killer:

"Blade is going to hate me for awhile",he couldn't help but think to himself. "Hopefully this will go as I hoped for."

Motion cut off his train of thought as Auryn bounded into the lead.

"It must be hard to see these slippery rocks with you're eyes all the way up there."

Killer didn't even think of that, he was too busy contemplating his actions.
'
"You're right." he said simply, then moved down to all fours.
His Worgen form was built to walk on two legs when moving slowly, so walking was kind of odd feeling. However it did make placing his feet easier. He was able to pick out the safe rocks from the less stable with ease.

The hellhound stayed far behind, his face portrayed guilt. Killer couldn't help but wonder why.

Finally they were getting close to their sleeping area.

"So, how long are we staying in these mountains?"

A strong gust suddenly swept over the mountain's rocky face. Killer hunkered down and tucked his wings in slowly.

He couldn't see Auryn but he could tell the hellhound was barely holding on.

"Get down! Stay lower, streamline."

Auryn paused before following Killer. He could see Blade had wandered to the far end of the plateau, clearly still fuming to himself. For a moment he debated telling him to follow them, but decided against it. It was obvious where they were going after all, and Blade would follow once he was cold enough... perhaps with the added bonus of a clearer head. He shook his thick coat in the chill air and bounded to the front of the group. "Best be careful" He warned them, moving past them to take the lead "It must be hard to see these slippery rocks with you're eyes all the way up there."

Blade saw them go, but didn't follow. What was Auryn thinking!? They had enough to deal with without taking on more trouble. He looked towards the increasing storm, another flash above his head, they didn't have time for other people's problems.

Dakar:

"Ai, well I shall support your decision then." the feline said looking back at him."No point asking for an opinion then dismissing it." he spoke with a grin
.
The golden canine snorted and walked off, he obviously didn't like the decision and definitely didn't trust Dakar one bit. Which he was used to, being a hellhound and all.

"Don't mind him." the cat said to me and the dragon"He might not look it, but he's still young and impulsive. He'll be fine if let be too cool down."

The winds started to pick up, they took the snow along with them, whipping them by our faces. Lightning cracked.. Great.

"Perhaps we should return to our shelter for now though?"

"Definitely" the dragon started to speak, his tone was softer now, "And I'm not going to try navigating those rocks again in my larger form."

A puzzled expression crossed Dakar's face, then it turned to aw as the enormous dragon grew smaller and his scales sprouted black hair, his wings turned red. A winged werewolf-like creature? Odd... Although obviously not a werewolf for his change was not swayed by a full moon.

He turned and started to move towards the rocky face that stood out behind the dark storm clouds.

I followed but kept great distance to be safe. For all I know they could be leading me to a trap. But something seemed genuine about them.
Blade looked dismayed at Kiler's answer and even Auryn looked a little uncertain. But Auryn's expression quickly changed back to his usual easy going one. It seemed to him that Killer may have some reasons behind his reply, and he trusted that the large dragon's resons would be good.

"Ai, well I shall support your decision then." He said looking back at the hellhound. "No point asking for an opinion then dismissing it." he grinned.

Blade snorted and walked off, it was pretty obvious what he thought. Auryn watched him go.

"Don't mind him." He told the others. "He might not look it, but he's still young and impulsive. He'll be fine if let be too cool down."

Lightning flashed over head. It was getting closer and more ferocious. Winds and snow whipping by.
"Perhaps we should return to our shelter for now though?" He suggested.

Killer:

“You want us to protect you from others of your kind?” Blade asked, sounding befuddled.

The hound flinched and opened his mouth to speak but closed it. That doesn't seem to be the whole truth or reasoning behind his actions.

Killer continued to gaze at the newcomer thoughtfully.
“You seemed tae know more about these dogs, what do you think?" Auryn asked.

He titled his head slightly, studying the dog who stared back confidently but without threat.

The weather was getting nasty, and he needed to make a decision.

"I'm not sure...." he began, "I don't think his intentions are bad. What exactly are they sending after you?"

"A hunting party, of hellhounds, just them."

"Hellhounds really vary in power..."

"One, the lead hound, is very powerful."

A thought popped into his head, Blade needed to learn to use some sort of power. A lot of the time close situations are what bring that about and help you realize where that power is growing from. Maybe it could help.

"I say let him come."

06-17-2011 at 5:45 PM
“You want us to protect you from others of your kind?” Blade asked, bewildered. It sounded more and more like something he didn’t want to get involved in. Helping others was all well and good, but not if it came to endangering you as well, especially if it involved a whole pack of creatures that he doubted he could take in a one on one match.

There was a crash of thunder above. The clouds had turned almost black by now and the first flakes of snow were beginning to drift down. Lightning snaked across the undersides lighting up the figures for a second.

“Ai, you definitely sound in a bind.” The feline nodded, suddenly appearing between the paws of the other two. He looked up at Killer “You seemed tae know more about these dogs, what do you think?” He asked.

Dakar:

The golden yellow canine turned to face me too.

“What could you possibly be running from that would make you look to strangers for help?” he said in a gruff manner.

I thought for a moment... I could lie, but I may end up regretting it later on. Even if they don't find out the guilt would be stressful.

"Others like me" I finally stated in a neutral tone, trying to stay calm.

"If you don't obey the laws of evil when created by such, they come for you."

06-14-2011 at 9:31 AM
Blade opened his eyes to look at the new comer, another dog, but one that looked almost as intimidating as Killer. He didn’t recognise what he was for Blade had never heard of hell hounds before, but he recognised a powerful creature when he saw one. He turned so that he faced the dog more directly.

“What could you possibly be running from that would make you look to strangers for help?” He asked gruffly, taking his queue from killer.

He wasn’t sure if he wanted to get mixed up with anything that could make such a canine look desperate.

06-12-2011 at 5:19 AM
Killer:

At first he couldn't believe his eyes, a hellhound? He had only heard of them in myths and knew that many were evil. But this one didn't seem on the offensive and he lacked that evil aura.

It had the body of a normal dog but two sets of horns, dragon-like wings, and blazing green fire and runes said made it obvious. Its tail was long and partially covered in scales, as was different parts of its body.

It just stood there.

Given what he had heard he decided to be more defensive than usual. He positioned his wings to make himself appear larger and walked forward, holding his head high.

The hellhound looked powerful, but looks can be deceiving.

"What do you want?" Killer asked in a gruff voice.

"Nothing."

Well that's helpful....He thought.

The hound glanced at his hind leg and back at Killer, then sighed.

"Actually, I've been injured and prefer to not travel alone...." he spoke hesitantly.

((Awesome))

Blade was concentrating too hard to notice the dragon had shifted his attention elsewhere. Just use he powers, yeah right! How was he supposed to do that!? They only seemed to work when he was really desperate, and even then it seemed to be unconsciously. Afterwards he barely remembered anything, just a hazy fog and some jumbled images. If it wasn’t that the others kept insisting, he probably wouldn't believe he had them at all. But this wasn’t going to help him, he had to try</i.>. He closed his eyes and concentrated. He wondered what to concentrate on.. zap, bang, zoom, Zzzzzt! he thought energy.. go!… he sighed, it even sounded bad in the confines of his own head. Ok so maybe it couldn’t be controlled by words, maybe a feeling…. That seemed more likely. What feeling? Ugh, it all seemed impossible. Still he thought he could sense something, like a sleeping part of his mind maybe...? He tried to reach for it, but it pulled away, bluring and disappearing back into his unconscious depths. He’d lost it… whatever it was… it probably wasn’t even what he was after anyway. Still he tried to find it again.

In the sky the clouds were darkening, it seemed it was going to snow again, or perhaps rain. Auryn watched with interest.

Here, I'll post for my character on my other account. :)

Dakar:

Dakar has began his trek into the could icy mountains. He was not built for the cold at all, but his drive and power kept him going.

A night had passed, he stayed under a large rock during the night. He awoke to a much more pleasant day.

But a smell filled his nostrils.
"Dragon?" He whispered quietly to himself.

He tracked the scent, keeping low to the ground on high alert, ducking down with every noise. His black coat made him obvious on the grey and white surface, he relied on the rocks to block his body.

He now heard flapping, he could tell by the sound it was a large dragon. He rounded a corner and golden yellow flashed. Followed by a teal color, he stopped dead his tracks. It was a Guardian Dragon, he had heard stories but thought they were extinct. The other creature was a canine, but he could tell it wasn't a normal dog, but he could not put his finger, so to speak, on the species.

And a feline as well, he just noticed the cat sitting in the corner. Watching the two powerful animals fight, although both seemed to be holding back lethal forces.

The canine had thick golden hair with some lighter cream areas, he could tell that under the canine's fur was a set of powerful limbs. A stone dangled from his neck.
He turned his attention to the dragon, its scaly skin made his muscle obvious, well defined, but lean, not bulky. The dragon had a lean physique, better for agility and power. With a set of large wings and a thick tail. Its teal skin was striped with white, claws were pitch black.

He had lost sight of the cat. Conflicting thoughts danced at the back of his mind, he needed to find others, he'd be safer from the threat with others. But he could be ripped apart, considering he did not know the extent of either animal's power. And he was wounded, he could still move swiftly but he wasn't at 100%.

He stepped forward from behind the rock, slowly placing one foot in front of the other.

The dragon stopped, and eyed him immediately.

“But I don’t know how!” growled to Auryn, he sounded quite annoyed.

Auryn replied calmy, “Ie, I know lad, but ye need to work it out.”

There was a slight pause and he spoke again,
“Of course… if you think you can’t handle it and want tae give up…” trailing off.

He was beginning to wonder what exactly these powers were still, ideas of what they could be were running through he head. He just hoped they wouldn't hurt.

“Fine.” Blade grumbled, “Lets get this over with Killer.”

For a moment he wondered just what he'd have to do to get it over with. He was running out of ideas, he couldn't use claws, teeth, breath, and he certainly didn't want to hurt Blade.

He began taking slow, casual steps towards Blade. Waiting for his reaction.

((I use Firefox so if I mess something up I get a little red line reminding me. It has helped a lot with my spelling overall. I like that about RPing too, takes off the pressure. ^_^))

Blade got off of Killers head. He was feeling almost normal again now, although he still felt a bit dizzy and light headed. He glared at the cat again.
“But I don’t know how!” He growled at him in annoyance, but the cat just shrugged and looked away.
“Ie, I know lad, but ye need to work it out.” He said softly. Auryn knew this would be hard, but there was nothing he could do. Blade needed to work out how to do it himself, he couldn’t teach that. Usually he worked with young cubs, it was so much easier with them, when you were still learning how to use your body, learning how to use you mind came naturally, but when you were older… well it was just harder. Stress was usually the best way to go about it though, you were willing to try new things under stress, and Blade was a determined lad, put enough of it on him, make him think you don’t think he can… then he’ll find a way. And once he does, then he can teach him how to refine it. He returned the dogs stare with an unblinking one of a cats.

“Of course… if you think you can’t handle it and want tae give up…” He let the words trail off into the air.

Blade turned back to killer and sighed. “Fine.” He grumbled, “Lets get this over with Killer.”

(Thanks! That’s probably because I type everything in word then read through it about three times. XD Yeah, I do that a lot too, but you’re doing fine. =) Even if you do get it ‘wrong’ it’s not the end of the world, RPing is all about being flexible. <3)
Blade began to stir upon Killer's head. But the sound of laughter drew Killer's attention away. It was the cat, seeming to be quite entertained by Blade's decision.

“That’s using the ol head!” Auryn shouted “Nea I told ye tae stop thinking like a beasties and tae use your powers!”

He wondered what exactly those powers were.He had a feeling he will not be prepared for them.
He lowered his head and dropped the canine off onto the ground.
Planning to strike once he's up and fighting again.

((I wouldn't of guessed. :) Generally it's reading things that I have issues with. I usually have to read stuff several times over before getting it fully.))

03-23-2011 at 12:16 AM
Blade didn’t stir for what seemed like a long while. It had been like hitting a brick wall and everything spun around him. Slowly his senses began to sink back into him and he stirred, trying to stand up on the giant head. He was wobbly though he refused to sit back down again, and with dismay, was beginning to realised Killer hadn’t been affected at all.

From a distance away a chuckle began to rise from the watching cat, it grew into a throaty laugh, and Blade could do nothing but glare, still feeling too stunned to speak.

“That’s using the ol head!” Auryn shouted “Nea I told ye tae stop thinking like a beasties and tae use your powers!”

(no worries, you're doing fine. Besides, I'm dyslexic too!)

At first he was blinded by his own wing's aftermath. But the moment everything became clear for him he saw Blade's body flying above.
With a sickening smack he hit Killer's thick skull. Blade had hit him at a high speed, Killer was now grateful for the battering ram skull his parents passed down to him.

He stopped for a moment, waiting for Blade to get off. He couldn't bring himself to attack an enemy while they were down...Unless they were extremely nasty ones.

((Sorry if I get anything mixed up. Let me know if I do. I thought I already mentioned it but I don't think I did. I'm dyslexic, but it's not that bad.))

03-22-2011 at 8:42 AM
He felt the wind change on his back, the fast, rapid beats changed to just one big one, and Blade knew Killer was ready to make his next move. Without waiting for the falling snow to clear from his vision Blade rushed forward. For a few seconds Blade was blind, but he had an idea in which direction Killer was and kept going, speeding up with every step. Then he could see again, bursting though the snow banks which had been formed. The arena had changed a lot around him, and much of the snow across the centre had been blown away to reveal the frozen rocks below. Blade saw the reptile rushing towards him, there was no chance of changing direction now, and no time to hesitate. So he didn’t, he reacted without thinking, time seeming to slow down as he did so. Blade leapt. The full force of his speed carried him high, he sailed easily over the jaws of the dragon, and down towards his forehead. There was an almightily bang as he hit, the full force of his 60mph attack transfusing to Killer. Blade laid across the dragon’s head, completely stunned. He’d never do that again.

03-22-2011 at 12:15 AM
At first Blade couldn't get a hold, then he did and lost it. He finally got a firm grip and lowered his body.

Killer raised an eyebrow, to the best extent a reptile can, slightly impressed. Well, now he was stuck and at a lack for ideas.
He gave one final flap and dropped down, immediately after hitting the hard rock surface he lunged forward, head aimed for Blade.
